B-b-b-bailouts!
Forget the bailout: airlines just don’t want your money if you look Muslim regardless of any FBI search. I guess they only want money from the government when they do nothing. Freeloaders.

Irrational economy and its cousin the credit crunch Here’s a way to fuel the bailouts: tax the rich
Bailout? I’ll have one please. The porn industry wants in on the action

Forget police brutality. Flat-out execution in San Fran.
We’ve discussed the hypothetical of a man defending his property and shooting a gun that happens to go across the street and hit something. It happened in Portland, Oregon
Amount of practice is the single highest correlation with greatness in any field

Bail out the porn industry?? We need Congress to “rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America”?? Here’s what I have to say about that: *eye roll*
But the very fact that such a thing is spoken out loud must be an indication of how porn is becoming more and more mainstream and acceptable by society at large. Sad, but not surprising.
I also was going to comment on “Scott Adams writes about how the economy must condense, and specifies home schooling over the internet as a key way waste can be reduced” but I think you failed to include the link.

The article said,
This approach is being used now with the Virtual Academy movement. Here’s a link to the California version of it: http://www.k12.com/cava/ There’s a big waiting list to get in. The author makes several good points, but seems to miss an obvious one–this is homeschooling so the reason everyone would NOT “get the same quality of education” is simple–not all homes of of the same quality. Having a internet-based curriculum and an online teacher available will help even the playing field, but let’s face it, not everyone’s mother is a good teacher (or “learning coach” as they are called in the virtual academies), even with all the structure and outside help.
Also, some mothers/fathers are not even present to be the teacher–two incomes are needed, many families are headed by single parents, one parent is ill, etc. So, I expect there will always be a need for publicly-funded schools to at least fill the need for a babysitter.
Regarding the BART execution, my understanding is that the cop said he thought he was grabbing for his taser, but accidentally grabbed his pistol instead. It’s like, “Sorry, buddy, I just meant to tase you for no apparent reason. My bad.” There is even another video that is more clearly what happened - not that you’d want to see it a second time. What’s more is that the cops confiscated two videos from cell phones, and claimed that the shooting occurred during a scuffle in which a gun “went off”. The cops thought that there was no video of it because they confiscated two cell phone cameras that had video on them. They didn’t count on the three other videos that have since surfaced. And as of right now it doesn’t look like the cop, who has since resigned, will be punished at all. At least the police department doesn’t intend to do anything at this point. They’ve claimed that its no longer in their jurisdiction because of the resignation.
