I just read the link about somebody not voting for Huckabee. I have no idea for whom I will vote, so my comment is neither for or against him as a candidate.

But I think if Huckabee is a minister, then he should be allowed to preach in a church while he is campaigning. This is a free country, after all, and we should allow him that religious freedom. Now, if he misuses that freedom by turning his sermon into a campaign speech, then that would be a no-no. But, apparently, he didn’t do that and the only thing the author didn’t like was the military metaphors used in his sermon.

I do not think that having a Christian president will make us have a Christian nation. But if the work of a Christian president were not informed on a daily basis by his religion, then I’d say that religion was a sham.

Personally I like military metaphors. We should use them more. But it does scare outsiders when we talk like we’re an army.
